An advice association is calling on independent and non-aligned financial advisers to get involved in designing and building better software for the delivery of goals-based advice.
The Association of Goals Based Advice is inviting advisers to participate in the development of software targeted at providing better outcomes to consumers and advice practices impacted by the incoming legislative reforms around limited managed discretionary accounts.
For the independent and non-aligned advice market now is the time to get involved in building their own software solutions or face being left too far behind the aligned and institutionally-owned counterparties, AGBA said.
"The industry talk around today's goals-based systems is that most only solve part of the problem. Many are vertically integrated in other apps and don't connect to mainstream tools. Those that do exist have been designed by institutions to deliver their version of goals-based advice," AGBA general manager, Rebecca Jacques said.
