The Board of AGBA is made up of experienced advisers and industry representatives who are passionate about goals based advice and delivering better outcomes to investors. AGBA greatly appreciates the time and effort they put in to help the industry in general, particularly as their time is given on a purely voluntary basis.

Matthew Walker

Matthew has been as a specialist financial planner since 1991 and has extensive experience in providing top quality advice to successful individuals such as senior corporate executives, professionals and self-employed business executives. His plain-English approach to complicated financial and regulatory subjects has won him a loyal client following.

WLM successfully introduced an end-to-end goals based advice process and DAA portfolios to their clients, who have all embraced the approach as being more meaningful and relevant to them individually. As the advice conversation has evolved to be even more focused on their personal needs it has greatly improved client satisfaction and lead to increased referrals and business generation.

WLM uses the Dynamic Asset Consulting Goals Based Portfolios which are typically CPI + portfolios  implemented via an MDA platform.

Matthew’s experience with implementing goals based investing with his clients and willingness to help others in the industry makes him a valuable contributor to AGBA and the evolution of the advice industry in Australia.

Jerome Bodosico

Jerome has over 20 years of financial services experience spanning investment research, investment consulting, funds management, stockbroking and financial planning. He is currently employed as the Head of Investments at Profile Financial Services, a member firm of AGBA.

At Profile, Jerome is responsible for leading the group’s investment function and flying the flag for goals based investing!  The role includes portfolio management of the Profile Portfolio Service, product operations, chairing the investment committee, conducting investment research, portfolio construction, consulting and coordinating the group’s direct shares offer. 

 Prior to joining Profile, Jerome was employed as a senior investment consultant for NAB subsidiaries JANA and Private Investment Consulting.

 Jerome has a Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance and a Master of Business in Finance degree from the University of Technology.  He was awarded IMCA’s CIMA Program Scholarship in 2010 and graduated as a Certified Investment Management Analyst.  Jerome also has a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and supports the industry through his work as a senior lecturer for the Financial Planning Association’s CFP Certification Program.

Louis Christopher

Louis established SQM Research in 2006 and has been its managing director since that time. . He was Head of Research and General Manager of the property statistics agency, Australian Property Monitors (APM) for six years. During his time at APM, Louis constructed key residential property market indexes published by the Reserve Bank of Australia. Prior to APM Louis spent three years at the Securities Institute of Australia as a Technical Editor. Louis previously spent 18 months at MLC working in the investment services. 

While SQM Research is recognised by mums and dads for its residential property research,  it is now also widely recognised by the industry as an investment research house that cover all asset classes. 

SQM’s mission is to identify quality managers and investment opportunities that provide performance and income outcomes for advisers and their clients. It has always been a strong believer that active funds management provides the best alpha over the long term. It has a team of 11 people which includes Rob da Silva as its Head of Research. 

Overall, Louis is keen to take up the Director role with AGBA as he is very interested in helping IFA’s and boutique dealer groups grow and become stronger. He wants to see active investment management stay alive in this country.  And he will put in the required effort into making that happen.

Julian Morrison

Julian has over 18 years’ experience in the investment industry. In his role as National Key Account Manager at Allan Gray, he is responsible for maintaining relationships with key clients including fund research professionals and financial advisers. He joined Allan Gray in 2010 from Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Sydney, where he worked in a business development role. He had previously worked for Morgan Stanley Investment Management in London in product management. Julian holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours – University of Sheffield); the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and has previously served as a director on the board of the CFA Society of Sydney.
